Breakdowns to Build-Ups - Tim Kennmore's 1995 Acura Integra

Tim’s 1995 Acura Integra isn’t some trend-chasing build with the usual bolt-ons. It’s the result of years in the game, and figuring things out the hard way. This is the third full version of the car, and at this point, everything on it has purpose. Nothing is there just to fill space.

The paint is the first thing you notice—hand-laid graphics that run the full body, tied together with real carbon parts from front to back. There’s a Varis Joker kit, custom bumper, VIS hood, J’s wing out back, and somehow it all works together without trying too hard. The Integra sits on Work Meister CR01s wrapped in Falken tires, laid out on Airlift V2. The whole build is extremely bold.

Under the hood, it’s a B20V with Skunk2 cams, intake manifold, and an upgraded throttle body. There’s a 65-shot of nitrous available on tap, too. Keeping it presentable, the whole engine bay has been shaved and detailed. It’s not overbuilt, but it’s been built up properly. Kennmore isn’t interested in chasing big dyno numbers for show. He wanted something reliable and snappy, and that’s exactly what this setup is meant to be.

Inside, the car has Braum seats and harnesses, a K-Tuned shifter, carbon-dipped details, and a crazy glass-built subwoofer enclosure behind the seats. Every bit of it feels like it belongs—with no filler parts and no off-the-shelf “just because” installs.

He’s been through wrecked cars, bad luck, and long gaps between parts. He calls it the “yellow car curse”—every Integra before this one was wrecked, and all of them were yellow. This one—which started out green—broke that streak. Since buying it for $1,900 back in 2015, it’s been transformed completely. A RHD conversion, JDM front end, full resprays, SEMA appearances, and magazine features. All of it was accomplished piece by piece.
